The Central Okanagan Disability Coalition is a new initiative. It aims to get information into the hands of disabled people and their allies. The Central Okanagan is made up of a number of smaller municipalities each with their own accessible features and programs. CODC helps spread the word of these good practices, hoping that this knowledge will lead to improvements for everyone.
Transit is crucial to disabled people being able to access their community and being able to be part of society. Given its importance, CODC is a member of the Accessible Transit Advisory Group, a group combining representatives from BC Transit, the City of Kelowna and representatives of accessible transit users.
CODC produces a newsletter quarterly. Subscribe, or read the previous editions on the CODC website.
